Indian Head Massage

This treatment has, from the time of introduction into this Country, become increasingly popular and much sought-after. In its Country of origin mothers often administer gentle massage to their newly-born babies in order to help them through the trauma of child-birth. These treatments are then continued on a regular basis throughout the child's young life and into adulthood. Receiving a head-massage on a regular weekly basis is an integral part of an Indian family's way of life.

Head massage is also carried out by many Indian Barbers and is combined with a hair cut to their clients as a normal service.

In recent times the therapy has been extended to encompass not only the scalp and head but also the neck, shoulders and upper arms. This gives the increased benefit of releasing high levels of stress and tension which are prevalent in these areas.

The healing power of this therapy can be harnessed to relieve mental and physical discomfort such as neck and shoulder pain, (whiplash), arm problems, (tennis elbow), also Sinusitis, Migraine, and other maladies caused by nervous tension, such as Eyestrain and Insomnia. In some cases Clients have been convinced that they have experienced some hair re-growth.

Clients, after a treatment, generally feel very calm and relaxed, and at the same time more alert and aware, and very often look forward to further visits on a regular basis.
